How can I delete my data?

The Process

In order for Plum to delete your information from the database, you must close your account and make a specific request for Data Deletion. You can make this request either through our in-app chat or through the following email addresses:

For a smoother process, make sure you use the same email address that's linked to your Plum account.

Data we will delete

The following data will be permanently deleted from our database:

  • Transactions analyzed from your banking data

  • The profile we created for automated rule execution

  • The link to your bank account

  • Metadata used in our communications

  • Authorization and login tokens

  • Campaigns you participated in

  • Your address history and your phone number

Data we will keep

The following data must be retained in our records for 5 years to comply with regulations:

  • Your current name, surname, address, and date of birth

  • The bank account number and the sort code from the bank you linked to Plum

  • All transactions related to Plum, including deposits, withdrawals, investments, divestments, and bonuses

  • The full name and email address used for your Plum registration

  • Copies of identity documents (ID, driver’s license, or passport)
