How Do I Transfer Money Directly into Investments?

You can deposit money straight from your linked bank account to your Plum investments.

When you tap ‘Deposit’ from within ‘Investments’ you’ll be presented with a choice of funding source, from where you can either choose to deposit from your bank or your Plum account.

Can I Set up Recurring Deposits for My Investments?

You can ensure you’re contributing to your investments regularly by setting up your ‘Splitter’ (which can be found in the ‘Brain’ section). This allows you to apportion your deposits between investment funds and/or your main Plum account.

You can use Payday rule to set up a set recurring deposit. This will be allocated based on your Splitter settings.

Can I Cancel a Deposit to My Investment Account?

If you would like to cancel the deposit, you will need to contact a member of the support team.

You can speak to the team by tapping ‘Help’ from within the ‘You’ section of our app or emailing help@withplum.com.

If the money has not yet left your Plum account, we may be able to cancel the transaction for you.

If your funds have already left your Plum account and have been placed on the market or invested in funds, you will have to wait for the funds to be invested and then withdraw these funds back to your account.

Bear in mind while the window to cancel an investment made directly from the bank is wider if you invest from your Plum account the window is substantially smaller and there is no guarantee we can cancel it.

Can I invest from a Pocket?

You can invest from basic pockets. Go to 'Investments' and tap 'Deposit' and you should be presented the option to invest from a pocket.

Bear in mind that currently, you cannot invest directly from an interest-bearing pocket. You would need to withdraw it from the pocket and then from the Primary pocket invest it.

It typically takes around a week to transfer the money to your investment account and then for us to buy the funds on your behalf. Whilst your money is being transferred and placed on the market, your funds will show as ‘pending’.
