Deposit to Mutual Funds

To deposit money in a Mutual Fund, you need to follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the Investments tile on your home screen

  2. Select a Mutual Fund from the designated categories

  3. Press the Invest button

  4. Choose the source of your money - it can be either the main bank account you have linked in the app or your Primary Pocket

  5. Type the amount of money that you want to invest (from £1.00 and above)

  6. Press Continue

  7. Once the confirmation screen appears, press Done

Once you complete all the steps above, you should have created a successful buy order.

In case you want to transfer your money to another fund, you need to make a withdrawal from your current fund (the money will exit your ISA wrapper) and make a new deposit to the fund of your choice (this money will also count towards your ISA allowance). We do not support any different ways for the time being.


Mutual Funds - Deposit Timeframes

It's important to understand that the investment transactions are not instant. The investment process takes around 2-5 business days to be completed.

  • If you have selected to invest money from your Primary Pocket, the money should be transferred instantly to our investment provider, and the investment process should begin immediately.

  • If you have selected to invest money from your bank account through the Direct Debit process, the money should take 4 business days to reach Plum. Then, the money will be transferred instantly to our investment provider, and the investment process should begin immediately.

  • If you have selected to invest money from your bank account through the Instant Deposit method, the money should reach Plum at the same time. Then, the money will be transferred instantly to our investment provider, and the investment process should begin immediately.

Please note that once a buy order is submitted, it cannot be cancelled.
