You can place an order to buy or sell stocks from within the ‘Stock Portfolio’ section of the Plum app. The Discover screen allows you to filter potential stocks, or you can search for a specific US company if you already know who you’d like to invest in.

Once you’ve selected your choice just tap ‘Invest’ and enter your preferred amount.

You’ll be presented with an order preview, and as soon as you click to confirm we’ll send your order to be executed.

Note that if you place an order to buy or sell U.S. stocks outside of normal market trading hours (between 2:30 pm – 9:00 pm, UK time), your order will be queued and then executed once markets reopen.
