Customers may have multiple buy or sell orders, relating to different instruments, active at any one point in time.

However, there are certain restrictions around trading activity classed as ‘day trading’.

A day trade is defined as a pair of trades, relating to the same security, within the same day (including extended hours). A buy must occur first, followed by a sell order later in the day. The inverse does not make a day trade.
