With the No-Spend Challenge, you have the chance to save money automatically when you stay on track with your finances. For every day you remain in your financial target, Plum will save for you automatically an amount of your choice.
How to Set Up
Please follow the steps below to set up the No-Spend Challenge rule properly.
Open the app and find the Brain.
Tap on the No-Spend Challenge.
Select the amount you want to set as a daily spending limit (up to £50). This is the maximum amount you can spend on a day for the challenge to run properly. If you spend more than this amount, the challenge will not save money for that specific day.
Select how many days you want to keep the challenge. You can select between 14, 30, 45, and 90 days.
Select the amount of money you want Plum to set aside automatically for every day you manage to remain within the spending limit.
Press Confirm and Done.
Once you set up the rule, you can still edit the amounts afterwards by opening the rule through the Brain menu.
Notes
For this specific challenge, Plum will take into consideration the transactions from all of the bank accounts you have linked in the app. However, the money will be taken only from the main account you have set as your funding source.
Please be aware that although the No-Spend Challenge runs every single day, it consolidates the total sum once per week, and it makes the deposit in the app along with the rest of your automated rules.
The money from the No-Spend Challenge rule is going to your Primary Pocket or the destination of your Splitter settings. It's not going into a special pocket.
