Opening a Stocks Account

Updated yesterday

To start investing in Stocks, you need to open a Stocks account first. To do this, please follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Tap on the Investments section from the home screen.

  • Step 2: Select the stock of your choice from the Stocks categories.

  • Step 3: Tap on the Invest button at the bottom of the page.

  • Step 4: You will be asked to confirm your address, your date of birth, and your Tax Identifier/NINO. Make sure to enter all the details correctly; otherwise, your Stocks account could face technical issues.

  • Step 5: Select your nationality from the list provided. If your nationality is not in the list, it means that you are not able to create a Stocks account at the moment for regulatory reasons. If you have multiple nationalities, make sure to enter all of them during this step.

  • Step 6: Select the country in which you pay taxes.

  • Step 7: You need to declare that you are not a US citizen/resident and that you don’t have any US nationality. Make sure to enter the real information as it can lead to tax implications.

  • Step 8: You will be asked to complete some necessary questions regarding your investment actions and background. This is asked and documented for legal reasons.

  • Step 9: Accept the Terms and Conditions.

Once you have successfully completed all the above steps, your Stocks account should be open and ready to use.
