The Fund seeks to outperform the FTSE All-Share Index over five-year periods by investing primarily in UK-listed companies, aiming for growth beyond the index after fees. Investments focus mainly on shares of companies with UK operations, with at least two-thirds of assets in UK companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Fund typically holds 30-50 companies, prioritizing those with consistent dividend growth (in 8 of the past 10 years), and mostly invests in large or mid-sized companies from the FTSE 350 Index.
The Fund may also invest in bonds, convertible securities, money market instruments, and other funds (up to 10%). Derivatives are used to manage risk, reduce costs, or add income, with future options for more speculative use after 60 days' notice. While UK-focused, the Fund may hold some non-UK assets as the manager sees fit. To manage risk, no single company holding typically exceeds 5% of the Fund's total value, and sector weightings are carefully balanced to avoid concentration risks.
