Saving transfers are transferred from your bank account to your Plum savings using Direct Debit. When a new saving transfer is initiated (either by Plum's algorithm or by you) it is marked as 'pending' until it is cleared by your bank and sent to us. This usually takes 3 working days but it might take up to 5-6 working days during the first week of your new account, because your bank first needs to approve our Direct Debit instruction.
Please note that due to the (unfortunately old and limited) way Direct Debit works, the money will leave your bank account one working day before it reaches your Plum savings, so the saving transfer will still be 'pending' even if the money has left your bank account.
