Who can take part in this promotion?

Any Plum customer who has successfully linked their bank account and registered for early access to stock investing can invite eligible people to use Plum, by sharing their unique signup link.

Who can I invite with my link?

For your referral to be deemed successful, your link must be used by an eligible person (as well as fulfilling other criteria, as outlined below).

An eligible person must be over the age of 18 and not an existing Plum customer at the time they’re invited. A Plum customer is defined as someone who’s downloaded the app and agreed to our Terms & Conditions.

How long does this promotion last?

This stock referral promotion lasts until 23:59 GMT on 5th February 2022.

How many friends can I invite?

You can refer as many people as you’d like! The more successful referrals you make with your unique code the greater the value of the prize you could win (with the maximum tier achieved after 10 successful referrals), and the earlier you’ll get access to stock investing when it is released.

How can I track my invites?

It’s not possible to track the progress of your invites, but we’ll make sure you receive early access to our stock investing feature, which will be tiered according to the number of successful referrals that you make.

If your referrals qualify for a prize, we’ll contact you within 1 month of the stocks referral promotion campaign end date.

How do the prizes work?

Depending on how many people you successfully refer before the promotion end date, you will receive

  1. A designated number of free shares

  2. A designated slot to gain early access to the product

Early access to the product will be granted as follows:

For 10+ successful referrals: First access

For 7-9 successful referrals: Second access

For 4-6 successful referrals: Third access

For 2-3 successful referrals: Fourth access

For 1 successful referral: Fifth access

Free shares will be allocated as follows.

For 10+ successful referrals: 4 shares each worth between £2 and £300

For 7-9 successful referrals: 3 shares each worth between £2 and £250

For 4-6 successful referrals: 2 shares each worth between £2 and £250

For 2-3 successful referrals: 2 shares each worth between £2 and £150

For 1 successful referral: 1 share worth between £2 and £100

Although the number of shares you will win is fixed, based on the number of successful referrals you make, the value of these shares is randomly assigned within the range shown.

If you qualify for a prize, you will receive your free share(s) within 30 days of the promotion end date.

In order to receive your free share(s), you must open a General Investment Account with Plum and create your Stock Investments profile (this includes successfully passing KYC checks, which is your responsibility). We will not be able to allocate your free shares if you have not done this.

What counts as a successful referral?

For your referral invite to be deemed successful, an eligible person must use your unique code to download the Plum app and create their Plum account, and then subscribe to one of our premium tiers.

When subscribing to a premium Plum tier (either Plus Plus, Plum Pro, or Plum Ultra) the first trial month is FREE!

We deem a referral invite is successful if all the following criteria are met:

  1. the invite was sent to an Eligible Person;

  2. they used your unique link to sign up to Plum;

  3. they accepted our Terms & Conditions;

  4. they linked their bank account;

  5. the referral was made in good faith;

  6. the referee has completed any additional steps that have been communicated in the email you received at the beginning of the campaign (ie subscribing to a plan, investing, depositing into an interest pocket, or other).

You may not:

(a) invite people who have created duplicate Plum accounts;

(b) use alternative contact information to refer yourself or others;

(c) create more than one account in order to invite yourself;

(d) invite an existing Plum user;

(e) invite fictitious persons;

(f) do anything that might damage Plum’s brand, goodwill or reputation;

(g) invite someone by suggesting they'll receive a referral bonus, or by promoting anything other than Plum’s main purpose, which is saving and investing money;

(h) use the Referral Program in: (i) any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation; or (ii) any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect; (iii) in any way that contravenes any other agreements we have with you, including our Terms and Website Use Policy;

(i) transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); or

(j) transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising either via paid search or any other similar activity, including channels that can damage the Plum brand, goodwill or reputation.

What other information should I know?

We reserve the right to limit prizes if we suspect that this promotion has not been used in good faith, or that any of the above terms were breached.

In cases of suspected fraud, further action may result in the suspension of your Plum account, and your referral bonus being withheld.

Once 30 days have passed since the end of the promotion, if you believe you’re owed a prize that hasn’t been paid, please contact our customer support team via ‘chat to human’ in the app or by emailing help@withplum.com. In most cases, these issues can be quickly resolved.

We may, at our sole discretion, suspend, terminate or change the terms and requirements of the referral promotion at any time.

In order to benefit from this Referral Scheme, you must be an existing customer of Plum and have agreed to our General Terms and Conditions. Any additional information provided by you in the course of a referral will be treated in line with the Terms & Conditions and Data Privacy Policy.
