The splitter is a feature that allows you to automatically allocate whatever amount Plum sets aside for you to various pockets and/or investment funds.

How do I set up my split?

Just go to 'Brain' and tap 'Splitter' - there you can adjust where you want your deposits to go.

❗Please note that you can only split deposits that were made by of the rules (e.g the automatic depositor, round-ups, rainy days etc.). Manual deposits are not affected by the splitter at the moment.❗

What is the default setup for splitter?

The default is 100% toward Plum account.

How can I adjust how I split my auto-deposits?

You can select to split your deposits among:

  • investment funds

  • custom pockets

  • the primary pocket

You get to choose the percentage of the split for each destination.

For example, if you have 2 pockets and the Tech Giants fund in your account you can get the splitter to distribute your direct debits like so:

  • 30% to your Primary pocket

  • 30% to your custom pocket

  • 40% to your Tech Giants fund

So a £100 deposit will be split into:

  • £30 to your Primary pocket

  • £30 to your custom pocket

  • £40 will be invested in Tech Giants - ❗ Remember these take up to 7 working days to be completed compared to pocket deposits that take 4.

Also note that you will not be able to spot the entire amount of the direct debit anywhere in Plum after the split so don't be alarmed, your funds are always safe. 😊

Do I have to set it up to split across all of my investments or just some?

Some of them is fine. You can set some funds to have 0% allocation and only deposit into these funds manually.

Can I pause my splitter?

Sure! You need to go to 'Brain' and tap 'Splitter'- from there select 'Account only'.

What is the minimum I can put into each Investment with Splitter?
This will change in line with the value of the funds. Currently the minimum you can buy at a time in each fund is:
        Conservative: £0.03
        Emerging Markets: £0.04
        Ethical: £0.01
        Growth: £0.04
        Tech: £0.01
