You need to link your bank account to Plum for two reasons:

  1. We use read-only access to look for patterns in your spending. This allows us to make automatic deposits on your behalf and also identify where you are being overcharged e.g. utility bills.

  2. We create a direct debit which we will use to deposit money into your Plum account.

Your personal data is secured using state-of-the-art security measures, and we never store (or have access to) your bank login credentials.

👉 Business accounts aren’t supported by Plum currently. We also can’t support Channel Island banks.

Joint accounts can be used as additional accounts alone. Plum cannot make auto-deposits from them yet.
